CHOCTAW, Okla. ? Two teen brothers have been arrested in connection with the killings of at least six cows in the Choctaw area.

Police said a tip called in to the Oklahoma County Sheriff?s office led them the teens.

While police are not able to release the suspect?s names at this time, they did say the pair are facing multiple charges.

Some are connected to other crimes in the area.

One of the teens is facing 15 counts relating to animal cruelty and several burglaries in the area.

One of the ranchers whose animals were targeted said it?s a sad reality for two kids who should have their whole lives ahead of them.

Harry Waldrip spends a lot of time caring for the animals on his farm; he comes out daily.

In July that he arrived to a shocking scene.?

Waldrip said, ?I came out here, like I do every morning, and four of my cows were dead.?

Choctaw Police Chief Conny Clay said, ?One was shot with a bow and arrow the others with a rifle.?

Waldrip said, ?They just shot them and wasted them.?

Police began investigating and last week were finally able to make an arrest thanks to a tip called in to the Oklahoma County Sheriff.

Two brothers, one 14 and the other 16, were arrested near Shawnee.

?What kind of person kills a poor domestic animal,? Clay said. ?It?s a waste of money for the farmer and kind of a sick behavior on their part.?

Waldrip said, ?They need to pay for what they?ve done.?

He said losing the four cows was a hit of about $3,500.

Though he said the worst part of this whole situation is what these teens have now done to their future.

He said, ?It?s going to mess up their lives having felony convictions.?

Police have linked the teens to several burglaries in the area.

A reward was offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Waldrip said he, another rancher and the Humane Society will have to figure out who gets the reward once a conviction is made.
